Note:
It is recommended that you empty your bladder before use.
1.
Getting Started:
-
Thoroughly
hand
wash the KegelMaster exercise device before (and after) each use.
The adjustable knob and springs are made from surgical grade stainless
steel and will not rust or corrode.
Note: Due to mass production of The KegelMaster,
small imperfections may occur. Please look over The KegelMaster. If any
imperfection are detected they can easily be smoothed out with the smooth
side of an emery board.
-
Unscrew
the knob on top of the unit. Open the unit and insert 1 spring
on the back post (nearest the hinge). First place the spring
over the post on the same side of the unit as the screw.
-
While
carefully closing the unit, guide the spring onto the corresponding
post on the opposite side of the device. Close completely.
-
Holding
the KegelMaster closed with one hand,
tighten the knob on top to hold it
closed. Do not over tighten!
-
Lubricate
the KegelMaster (Tip to Flare) using a water soluble personal
lubricant. This makes insertion and removal easier. We suggest you avoid lubricants with
"special" features ( flavors, colors, etc.) which can cause
irritation.
-
Lay
down on your back, with your head resting on at least one pillow,
relax, and bend your knees keeping your feet flat, about two feet
apart.
-
Position
the KegelMaster with the knob up.
2.
Insert the KegelMaster
-
Firmly
hold the closed KegelMaster in one hand
-
Slowly
insert the unit into your
vaginal opening until it is firmly in place. This will be apparent
when you notice that the KegelMaster feels much smaller when it "locks" into place.
-
EASE
the unit into place - do not force it
-
Using
the adjustment knob, be sure the KegelMaster is securely closed
during insertion and removal
Note:
Only insert the KegelMaster approximately three inches.
3.
Personalizing the tension setting - this may take a few tries to find the
best setting for YOU.
-
Turn
the knob at the top of the KegelMaster counterclockwise until the knob
is no longer touching the top of the KegelMaster or until it is just
slightly uncomfortable. This discomfort is simply your muscles
being put under tension so that the contraction exercise can proceed.
Note:
If the knob is not touching the top of The KegelMaster 2000TM and you
don't feel any pressure from the KegelMaster putting resistance
against the vaginal muscles, then you will need to increase the
Resistance Setting to the next level. (See
"Resistance Settings".)
-
Hold
the unit in place with your hand until you are able to do a proper
Kegel contraction. (Remember to squeeze - not push.)
-
You
are using the proper muscles when the unit closes and opens as you
contract - squeeze - your muscles.
-
A
small percentage of women initially have the instinct to do an
abdominal push, this is not a Kegel contraction, but
an improper movement which can cause the unit to slip out.
For
more information on locating your Kegel muscles, CLICK HERE.
-
Once
you have determined the appropriate resistance level for you, squeeze
down against the KegelMaster. If you are easily able to close down
with your vaginal muscles completely for thirty closings, remove the
unit and increase to the next tension setting. (See
"Resistance Settings".)
4.
Adjusting Tension to accurately close the KegelMaster during the exercise.
The ideal
spring tension is determined by one's ability to close the KegelMaster
completely at the beginning of the exercise and the INABILITY to close it
completely at the end of the set of 30 closings.
-
If
you are still easily able to close down the KegelMaster all the way
for thirty closings, then you'll need to increase the Resistance Settings.
-
After
each Resistance Setting adjustment, do another set of thirty closures
(reps).
-
If
you find you are still able to easily close the KegelMaster all the
way thirty times, increase the resistance setting to the next
level.
-
It
may be necessary to repeat this process a few times in order to find
the setting that best fits you and your needs.
Be
patient and don't rush this process. It may take a bit of time
initially, but the results are well worth it!
5. Maximizing Your Sequences and Sets (you can never overwork the vaginal
muscles).
-
Start
your exercise sequence with 3 sets of 30 closings daily.
-
With
each rep you attempt complete closure of the KegelMaster, pausing
between each set of 30 closings for 15 seconds.
-
Squeeze
- hold it and count to 2 - then release. Repeat for 3 sets of 30 to
start. Note:
The KegelMaster doesn't have to close completely to see results.
-
It
is recommended to work up to 6 sets of 30 closings a minimum of 3
times a week.
-
If
an individual chooses, they may do as many sets and closures that they
feel comfortable with. Your goal is to fatigue the muscle until there
is very little movement.
6.
After your "workout"
-
While
holding the KegelMaster securely, screw the knob down (clockwise
rotation) until the unit is completely closed.
-
Hold the
unit and gently twist (rotate) from side-to-side. Slowly pull
straight back until the unit is removed.
-
Thoroughly
hand wash the KegelMaster.
CAUTIONS:

Take
care to GENTLY insert and remove the KegelMaster. Proper
lubrication should help.
