About Dr. Jay H. Mead M.D.
Jay H. Mead M.D. is the Medical Director and President of Labrix Clinical Services, Inc. He is a leading expert in salivary hormone testing. Dr. Mead is a 1976 graduate of the University of California San Francisco Medical School. He completed pathology training in 1980 at the Letterman Army Medical Center, Presidio of San Francisco. Board certification in general pathology followed in 1980, with special certification in blood banking coming in 1982. |

Dr. Mead led the American Red Cross as Medical Director for over 10 years and served as the medical director of one of the nation's largest salivary testing laboratories for 5 years. He is a flight surgeon in the United Air Force Reserves. He also co-founded and directs a complementary and alternative medical clinic, the Center for Integrative Medicine. Labrix was founded to address the clinician's need for precision and reliability and the scientist's demand for quality and integrity. Labrix is a CLIA registered laboratory. CLIA stands for the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act, a federal regulation specifying that all laboratories must meet certain conditions to perform testing on human specimens. |
